Dear friends, 

 

The original vision of Youth With A Mission started in 1960. It was a vision of waves of young people going to the nations with the good news of the gospel. The heart of YWAM remains as strong as it was in the beginning; that every person should have the opportunity to know and experience the love of God.

 

In 1985 YWAM Perth was launched and became part of the growing movement. In 2006 I was asked to take on the director’s role and it has been an honour to serve in this role alongside so many gifted and anointed leaders.

 

Over the last year, I have felt God leading us to move toward a transition in leadership. This has been a very deliberate process to create space for next generation of leaders and provide continuity in the ongoing vision of YWAM Perth. In consultation with international elders in YWAM, this process has recently begun by releasing the YWAM Perth director’s role and responsibility into the hands of three trusted leaders: Mariecia Groenewald, Ari Sloots, and Caleb Brownhill.

 

I am confident in God that this is the right step. They are experienced leaders that I have worked with over many years and I believe they will lead YWAM Perth into the next steps of fruitfulness in the vision God has entrusted us with.

 

I want to express my deep gratefulness for your support and prayer. It is difficult to quantify the impact you have had through your investment in the lives of those we encounter daily; people who are simply looking for a helping hand in their specific situation.
