The Urban Creative stream is for anyone who wants to go deeper in relationship with God while learning to use their love of the arts and creativity to bring His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. We start out with three months of focused discipleship in YWAM Perth’s international missions community. Our incarnation approach to discipleship means encountering God doesn’t happen just in the classroom, but in serving practically, in small group discussions, in sharing His love with others and more. We’ll look at topics like hearing God’s voice, the character of God, missions and taking the gospel public. We’ll also include opportunities designed specifically for you to explore how to co-create with God, deal with perfectionism, share His love with others - whatever your creative outlet may be. 

On outreach we integrate creative expression into the core elements of our DTS outreach: discipleship, evangelism and mercy ministries. We look for all kinds of opportunities to use our gifts to reach and serve others, particularly in urban environments. Cities are the cultural and creative heart of nations, and for us a strategic focal point. Public art, portrait drawing in the streets, pop up exhibitions, video, photo - however God leads us. This is what we were made for - to create with God and out of that others will see Him! 

We’ll wrap up with a week in Perth, celebrating what God has done and looking ahead to what He has next. Whether it’s across the street or across the globe, we come alive as we find our place in His purposes!
