YWAM Perth Appropriate Technology innovates new and adapts existing simple technologies to answer some of the biggest challenges facing developing world nations. Some of the things we work with include clean water, renewable energy, recycling and agricultural technologies. A key strategy is to identify partners in nations who have built trust in their local communities, then equip them with multipliable technology that is suited to their context. Still a young ministry, we have seen great breakthrough and developed effective partnerships in nations like Nepal, India and Zimbabwe. In Perth, we are developing an “AppTech Centre” where technologies are available for view, training of students going on outreach can happen, and new innovations take place.
