Finding Freedom Through Vulnerability
A story from a previous YPDTS student…
Throughout the course of my DTS, and especially during lecture phase, God taught me vulnerability.
God honored the risk I took and would give me words of encouragement and wisdom that I could never come up with on my own.
Growing up, I tended to be the tough one who would be there for my family or friends when things were rough, but it wasn’t natural for me to let God or other people see me at my weakest. He walked with me as I shared low points of my past during Repentance and Forgiveness Week. When I was vulnerable and prayed out for my classmates and friends, God honored the risk I took and would give me words of encouragement and wisdom that I could never come up with on my own.
I have learned that the times I have felt His presence and His love the strongest are when I come to Him just as I am, broken and all. As it says in 2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
