The Lecture Phase

Refine, grow, and discover practical evangelism skills and church establishment skills.

The purpose of the School Of Evangelism (SOE) is to train people to be a part of the movement God is raising up by placing practical tools for evangelism/ church planting in their hands. We endeavour to build on the foundation of their DTS so that growing their relationship with God would increase their ability to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. Our desire is that trainees/ interns will grow their understanding of the nature, character and ways of God and the content of the gospel. Throughout the school, interns are given opportunities to develop their skills in evangelism and overcome fear, enabling them to communicate the gospel clearly and accurately in any cultural setting.

"Witnessing is a fulfilling experience, and has its own special rewards."
Ross Tooley, YWAM legend

"You cannot truly make disciples without it resulting in new churches." David Jackson, Disciple Making

What you'll experience during the lecture phase.

Real-life Experience

The best way to learn how to share about Jesus is to get out there and do it!

The better way to train/ disciple is to wisely place new followers of Jesus with like-hearted believers on the journey of Discipleship. Throughout the lecture phase, there will be opportunities to go out to engage people and put into practice what you have learned.

Answer the Hard Questions

If there is an all-powerful all-loving God, why is there so much suffering in the world?

How can you be sure that Jesus is the only way?

Answering the 'hard questions' has to do with knowing the 'Nature' of the God of the Bible. Many people have hard, tricky, complex questions that stop them from following Jesus.

Together we can find answers to these questions and learn how to communicate these answers in a way people will understand.

Cross-cultural Evangelism

Sharing the gospel with a Muslim is different to sharing with Hindu/ Buddhist and Athiest.

Doing evangelism in the west is different from doing it in the east.

Learn how to share the gospel with people of all religions and worldviews. Develop cultural awareness to effectively do evangelism in any cultural setting.

Outreach Phase

Go into the world, preach the gospel, and see people saved

11 weeks of outreach in Europe and other nations.

"And he (Jesus) said to them, "Go into all the word and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved... And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons,... they will lay their hands on the sick and they will recover.""
Mark 16:15-18

During outreach we will GO into the world, PREACH the gospel and people will be SAVED. We will walk in the POWER of the Holy Spirit and people will be HEALED and set FREE.
We will endeavour to develop community with a view to see people come to salvation, so that a church is established.

Phase 3 - Church planting opportunity in a European city location for a further 2 years, in partnership with a church planting movement based out of Norway; other international locations for church planting with YWAM will also be presented as options to be prayed over by interns.

Mission experiences during the outreach phase.

Salvation

"You have nothing to do but to save souls. Therefore spend and be spent in this work." John Wesley

Our focus as we go out is to share the gospel and work with God to see people saved. As we step out in obedience to what God speaks, He will move through us to bring people to obedience of the faith.

Teaching Others

For the world to be reached, the whole church needs to be involved.

You will have the opportunity to teach and encourage fellow Christians in the area of evangelism. As you do evangelism together, you will be able to pass on the skills and knowledge you have learned by going with them to engaged the unchurched.

The Power of God

Jesus has given you power and authority to heal the sick and cast out demons.

During outreach, you will have the opportunity to use this power and authority to help bring the Kingdom of God.
