End date: 22 December, 2018.
Certificate II in Communication and Cross-cultural Engagement in Christian Missions (10476NAT)
A call to Christian missions. Also refer to the purpose for this course as stated in the training overview.
This school is designed for those who have a first language other than the target language, love God and have a call to missions.
The emphasis is on speaking, pronunciation and listening skills. Grammar, reading and writing skills are also addressed. We look at the target language in the context of missions, addressing Biblical and missions language as well as preparing you to live in a missions environment.
This course is being run every year from July to December.
You will have many opportunities to develop friendships. As you live and learn together, you will develop friendship with the people you live and learn with. You will get to know one another at the meal table, in the classroom, in the city of Perth and more.
You will experience many ways to grow in the target language and develop skills to live cross-culturally. Learning opportunities are varied, including conversation times, skill development activities and informal learning in a home environment.
You will have regular opportunities to have individual input from school staff. We will meet regularly with you for discipleship and to help with language learning and adapting cross-culturally.
