The lecture phase of the 4WD Adventure Discipleship Training School run's over 12 weeks. Each week a different guest speaker unpacks the life changing truths of God's word with topics like Father heart of God, Jesus as Lord, Missions, Relationships, Repentance and many others!
During the DTS you will have many opportunities to hangout , chat and connect with the speakers and staff on the DTS. The formal and informal mentoring that takes place through these interaction's is life changing.
One of the most amazing things about the 4WD Adventure Discipleship Training School is the community that is formed with the school and through the broader community of YWAM Perth. Being apart of authentic community helps you know how to apply all God is teaching you during your DTS.
For three weeks we will leave our classroom and have lectures on the beach. We will be outdoors and explore God's creation, whether this is through conquering terrain in a 4x4, snorkeling or falling asleep under the stars and waking up to the sunrise. It's an epic chance to be taught while immersed in a community and God's creation.
Learning how great God is and His love toward us can't be separated from sharing it with people. When we talk to people about God, we understand Him more; we understand His love for people. Stepping out is essential to life and stepping out for God is an exciting part of seeing Him work.
With so many topics and so much information given in lectures, it's helpful to have someone to process with. You will get a staff 'mentor' to walk with you and give guidance and input. Each week you will get a chance to sit down and talk with your staff mentor; ask questions, and think about how to live it out.
Experience is the best teacher. After 12 weeks of learning about God and getting to know Him more, we will go into different countries to share about Jesus on the streets and in churches. Partner with God to help change lives and bring hope to those in need!
What has God done in your life? Outreach is an opportunity to share this with people from anywhere. From the remote communities of Western Australia to the bustling city streets of India (and anywhere in between), people need the hope of Christ.
Be the hands and feet of God, meaning, be used to do whatever is needed wherever it is needed. You see a problem, we will do what we can to fix it.
Use the 4WD to reach remote communities to serve the Indigenous people of Western Australia!
