Richard Blake: Insecurity in Transition

Richard takes us on a journey of dealing with insecurity during times of change; teaching us how to prepare for what’s next and what to do when we’re not. Using the analogy of an airplane journey, he creates connections between the safety instructions and life in transition; showing us how to cling to God in the midst of pressure.

Richard confronts us with the question, “Do we need to cling to God in the midst of pressure?”

And of course you’ll say ‘yes’, because you know the right answer, but are [you] doing it?

Do you know how to cling to God? When there is pressure, insecurity and uncertainty, what do you cling to? Transition is something everyone experiences, and it never truly stops. So when we face insecurity, we need to listen to God. He’s the captain; the one with skill, knowledge and authority. We become stable when we gain understanding of His closeness, remain rooted in our identities, and secure ourselves with truth.

What is God saying? Are there issues you need to resolve before heading into this new season?

God calls us to persevere; get desperate for Him and pull Him close. Get vocal and pray. Confess and cry out. The Holy Spirit is speaking; are we active and listening?
