He Showed Me His Heart for People…
Article written by Micayla (Student on the AES 2013/14)
God caught my attention during this school as He drew me into His love for people and His heart for those who don’t know Him. I wasn’t always so confident in evangelism, but He showed me that the smallest act of kindness could make the biggest impact on somebody’s life. Evangelism is about bringing people closer to God. Whether it was drawing a portrait, playing a card game, or just letting an old woman ramble on in another language just to show her that I cared about her story, these things all make an impact on people’s lives.
He showed me the importance of giving people value, that each person is important, loved and accepted. He showed me that there are thousands and millions of people who are lost, broken and alone, people just waiting for someone to listen, waiting for someone to bring a message of life, waiting to be accepted, and just waiting to step into the unknown with their Creator.
I see that each person is worthy of pursuit, and each person is unfathomably loved by God.
Why let the lost sit on the side of the road, when I have the map that leads to the road of life?
During these past few weeks while doing my AES outreach, I saw that this world is in desperate need of their Saviour, but it only takes a small step of my obedience to see a life change. I see that each person is worthy of pursuit, and each person is unfathomably loved by God. All it takes is for someone like me to say; “To all who are lost, to all who are burdened, take His hand and walk with Him into the gates of no more sorrows, into the gates of eternity.”
