Film Making in Southeast Asia
Story written by Nathan, a student from the School of Frontier Media:
This was stressful, but figuring out how to deal with the situation and developing solutions was a great experience.
I absolutely love traveling, so going to south east Asia to work on a film project during my School of Frontier Media was very exciting, an incredible opportunity for me. Throughout our time filming I was able to practice my skills across the different roles including lighting, sound and camera and I really enjoyed it. There was one day during our filmmaking that we had to re-shoot some scenes because we discovered at the last minute that one actor could not appear in the movie. With little time to spare, we found a replacement actor and managed to get all his shots completed before the sun went down on our final day there. This was stressful, but figuring out how to deal with the situation and developing solutions was a great experience.
My outreach taught me many principles that I will continue to carry with me such as working on a team, applying lessons, creative problem solving and much more.
