Expanding and Accelerating

We’re so grateful for all God has done in 2024. It’s been wonderful to see lives and communities touched by the love of God. From seeing people committing or recommitting their lives to Jesus, to people being healed when they received prayer, from being able to extend antenatal care to offering counselling for refugees, God has opened so many beautiful opportunities.

We’ve been very encouraged by new evangelism efforts emerging from within our missions community - both ongoing initiatives, like engaging with the local New Age community, as well as special events, like reaching out to a citywide gathering of Bhutanese. Whether it’s folks gathering for evenings of evangelism in Perth city, or ongoing Bible distribution efforts in a nearby suburb, we love seeing the Good News spread!

As we look ahead to 2025, we are in great anticipation for a new chapter of accelerated apostolic initiatives around evangelism, prayer and worship. As Directors, we look forward to strengthening existing and emerging leaders, as well as leading out where God has encouraged us to “take the land.”

We have a deep conviction that God is shifting us from not only rebuilding, but to further growth and momentum, taking us into new territories. This will involve actively seeking out external impartation and facilitating input and partnership. We will continue to invest in our ongoing partnerships in places like Nepal and in the Kimberely, as we ready for the new opportunities God opens up. We look forward to increasing partnership with others around evangelism and an acceleration of young people being mobilised for missions!

Lauren from Canada, Nepal with the Compassion DTS (Urban Focus):

While walking through a Nepali village, our team met an older man who was open to having conversation with us [and our translator]. He had significant hearing loss in one ear, and we needed to shout so he could hear us. Despite this difficulty, we were able to share about Jesus with him for the first time in his life and he decided to follow Jesus. Then we prayed for healing, and he was able to hear clearly again! To make sure, we went from yelling to just whispering, and he could hear, no matter how loudly or quietly we were speaking. It was beautiful witnessing Jesus bring this man both spiritual salvation and physical healing.

Cailey from Canada, India with the Compassion DTS (Urban Focus):

We were doing house visits and a lady who was Hindu called us into her home. She had a bad pain in her eye that made her scream because she was in so much pain. We prayed for her, and she didn't get healed on the spot. I left feeling kind of discouraged. We came back a week later and did a church service there and I saw this woman walking in. We shared the gospel, and she gave her life to Jesus. She explained that a couple hours after we left, her eye got better and that is why she had come to church.

Blessings,
