WHO'S ALREADY THINKING 2013??

The YP half of the year is done, now we look to the next one!

That's right....this is what happens when you don't closely supervise a YP shopping expedition....

YP 2012 is done ... even though it lives on in the Facebook world! We had all our teams fly back into Perth mid June for the Report Back week. It was such a great week.... normally we do a lot of similar activities in this week every year but I had a strong sense God wanted to speak something specific for this year's school. And what He spoke was the word 'TORQUE'..... We've been on enough YPDTS beach and camping trips to deal with a lot of flat tyres and the process goes a little like this.... Jack the bus up, undo the nuts, take the tyre off, put a new one on, tighten up the nuts but not 100% and then add some leverage to the wrench/crank and you 'TORQUE' it... in a sweet star formation of course... but its adding the final strength to it... making it secure.

And that was Report Back for us.... this school experienced so much of God in the Lecture Phase here in Perth and then were able to see Him move through their teams on outreach... and He just wanted to make things 'secure'.... make it work, make it last... That meant some great times of worship where God really spoke to individuals and the school, teaching on going home, what's next, how to continue on with everything that has started! Great talks, the big goodbyes, lots of airport drop off's and now its come to an end.....

Which gets us looking at 2013!!!! 6 months - thats such a great time to plan, prepare, pray, get the finances together and head to Perth Australia...

January is summer and we take full advantage of it.... trust me... God speaks way more at the beach than anywhere else!! Well... for me anyways...

Outreach would be sending teams all through Asia or Africa most likely.... its a bigger school so we get to have a lot of options on outreaches you can pray over to be a part of. Evangelism, discipleship, teaching/preaching, youth ministry, community involvement, worship/prayer, kids ministry, poor and needy, high school ministry, rescue whales..... yes, we've done it all on YP outreaches! Yes, even rescued stranded whales!

DTS is a time of getting it all personally deep in your life. Knowing God close, speaking to you. Seeing Him move in the community or church you are working with on Outreach.... leading someone to the Lord, seeing God heal somebody as you pray for them!!!
