EVERY PLACE YOU SET THE SOLE OF YOUR FOOT

A little journey with some newcomers to China...
wWe set out to walk across the breadth of our province, led out by the Scripture from Joshua 1:3 saying,
“Every place on which the sole of your foot
treads, I have given to you.”
We took a two-day hike with just our backpacks, water bottles, and faith in God’s word to guide us. This was more than a long walk, but a spiritual claiming of the land God has called us to. We had about 20K to cover in two days, so after reaching a half-way point on the first day,
we began looking for camp. What God provided for us was truly amazing…
We ended up in this small farming town asking for a place to sleep for the night, and were generously given an empty garage and some wooden beds to have.
After building a small fire for the night, we were soon entertaining the whole town singing worship songs, dancing to ‘Shout to the Lord’, and acting out the story of David and Goliath in Chinese. Who says you can’t do open evangelism? At the start of our second day, we found a clearing in a nearby bamboo forest, held
church, and built and altar to God out of bamboo proclaiming that He is Lord of this land. We finished walking at 5:oopm on the southern border or our province, and then took the train home. What an amazing adventure!
