UNUSUAL CHURCH PLANTING
By Kellie
Church planting may be more than we assume.
Many cringe when they hear the words, "church planting." Why? Many assume to be a church planter, they would have to leave everything comfortable, hop on a two-seater plane, hike through the mountains, and live in a grass hut cooking over an open fire.
While that may be true for some church-planting missionaries, church planting can take many different and diverse forms. Did you know many who live in cities don't know Jesus Christ? Do you have a heart to change projects and spend quality time with street kids? Give hope to the those fighting in gangs? Well, church planting may be the thing for you after all.
The definition of "church planting" is leading people to Christ, discipling them in the Word of God, and gathering believers together to hang out and learn the Word of God together (just as they did in Acts). And you don't even have to get a passport. It can be done in your very own city. Just use your passions.
