DOCUMENTARY SCRIPTWRITING TEACHER

The SFM is pleased to have Kevin Miller, an award winning film-maker, sharing on this important topic.
Kevin Miller, from British Columbia, Canada, has worked on documentaries, feature films, and short film projects. Recent credits include Hellbound?, Monumental, spOILed, Sex+Money: A National Search for Human Worth, Drop Gun, With God On Our Side and Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed--which is among the top 20 highest grossing documentaries of all time. Never one to shy away from controversial material, Kevin enjoys the opportunity to dig deep and get to the bottom of some of today's most important cultural debates, from fossil fuels to sex trafficking to human origins to the uneasy relationship between religion and politics. His projects have taken him to over a dozen countries across five continents.
In addition to his work in film, Kevin has taught screenwriting at a number of film schools and conferences across North America and around the world. He has taught in and involved with numerous Youth With A Mission writing and film making schools over the last decade.
Prior to getting into the movie business, Kevin worked as a journalist, editor, publisher and freelance writer. He has written, co-written and edited over 40 books, both fiction and non-fiction. Kevin lives in Abbotsford, BC with his wife and four children.
