LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE FOR ALL TO SEE!

God is speaking about the SFM 2011

Recently, I got together with Jenni, our newest SFM staff, to pray and wait on the Lord for the upcoming School of Frontier Media running in January 2011. God spoke to us out of Isaiah, specifically out of chapter 60:1 – ““Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the LORD rises to shine on you.” (NLT)

God wants to shine his light upon us as a school – what a blessing! We expect to have amazing times of receiving the word of the Lord and experiencing his presence. But that light is not just for us – it is to be reflected to the nations. “Let your light shine for all to see,” it says, and then in verse 3, it adds, “All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see your radiance.”

At this point, we don’t know where our outreach is going to be for the upcoming school. But we are excited at the potential of God shining his glory upon the nations through our lives and the media resources he will have us produce. So we have to be ready to have him reflect through our lives – both personally and corporately. After all, it won’t be the light of the SFM students, staff, teachings or productions that make a difference to the nations – it’s the light of Jesus, reflected in its pure form.

And we have to be ready to pray for it. God also spoke out of Isaiah 62, where v. 1 says, “…I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch.” And then later we see, “Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord. Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work….”

Like any great accomplishment, it will not come easily, but we are determined to fight for it in prayer. Will you please pray with us?
