SFM 2010 UPDATE

What's been happening since we last checked in with the SFM?
After an amazing twelve weeks of lectures, the SFM is heading off to outreach! We are joining up with a team of staff from Create International to do a project for an unreached people group in North India. We’ll be there for a few weeks in April, producing an evangelistic drama in the language and culture of the people, while others in the team will be doing a mobiilsation documentary and a church planting training video. After that we will finish our outreach editing the project in Perth.
The lecture phase has prepared us well for this adventure. We had lectures from some amazing speakers on photography, desktop publishing, video production, lighting, scriptwriting, and more. We’ve had a chance to put test those skills with all manner of projects and exercises. And through it all God has been reminding us to fix our gaze on him, and to hear what he wants to say to us, not just about media, but about missions, nations, and life.
