SFM 2009 - COMING SOON!

The SFM staff hear from God on the upcoming school

The School of Frontier Media 2009 is approaching rapidly. As the staff have been praying for it, God has spoken to us out of Hebrews 12:2, especially about “fixing our eyes” on Jesus. It is a deep idea that applies to all areas of life. As we have prayed, we have asked God to show us what this specifically means for us as we run the SFM. Here are a few of the things that God has shown us:

• seeing God even under the worst circumstances
• being ready to receive the word of the Lord through any source
• being humble about the blind spots and unknown areas in our life that he wants to reveal
• instantly obeying the “impulse” of God
• running with perseverance
• being yielded in our time
• checking with God about what we should be doing
• obeying, in spite of fear of failure, fear of man, fear of confrontation, fear of rejection
• developing the habit of asking God questions up front, not after the fact, or as an afterthought
• learning to do what God tells during the lecture phase in order to deal with the challenges of outreach
• fixing our eyes on everything, regardless of whether the task seems too small or too big
• remaining in Jesus, as he calls us to when he is talking about the vine in John 15
• looking at Jesus for healing, as the Israelites were commanded to do with the snake in the desert
• knowing that God is our sufficiency, as it is all for him in the end
• looking at God and how big he is, not being impressed by how big the walls or the giants that we face are
• being wholehearted

We are eagerly anticipating getting into all of the learning, projects, filming, shooting, editing, writing, praying, playing etc. that we will do on the SFM, all as we fix our eyes on Jesus together!
