ABOUT

Performing arts can reach beyond cultural and language barriers, touching hearts and impacting communities. Each rhythm and movement can be an act of worship, a proclamation of the truth, and a tool to make the Creator known in every nation. Do you love performing arts -- dance, music and drama? Are you looking for an opportunity to grow in your relationship with God and use your gifts for His purposes? The Performing Arts DTS could be just your thing!

A Discipleship Training School is an opportunity to meet with God in a unique, dynamic and transformational way. DTS includes a 3 month lecture phase and a 3 month outreach overseas. Each week of the lecture phase, local and international speakers focus on topics such as: the fatherheart of God, forgiveness and repentance, the nature and character of God, missions, hearing God's voice and intercession. Throughout the lecture phase there will be lots of practice to take the skills within the school to use in dynamic outreach to the nations. The outreach phase could include presentations for large evangelistic campaigns, schools, churches or in the market places of cities and communities. With YWAM training it’s all about personal application, not just amazing knowledge, it’s about how does this truth affect the way I live my life? The DTS includes not only classroom lectures, but regular times of dynamic worship and prayer, small group dialogue, one-on-one discipleship, hands-on serving on base, weekly outreach in the city... and lots of fun community life.
As part of the paDTS, you’ll get to work closely with people with years of performing arts ministry experience! We’ll look at God’s redemptive purposes for the arts and cultural expression. You’ll get to be a part of practical workshop times, training and performances during both the lecture and outreach phases.
Your 12 week outreach will include a variety of ministry opportunities, including many to use performing arts. You’ll be involved in evangelism, discipleship and mercy ministry. Your outreach could include taking the stage as part of a large evangelistic campaign or taking it to the streets with open-air presentations in a megacity. Together, we’ll use performing arts to share life and hope, proclaim truth and spark dialogue.
