The communicative aspect of music is something that cannot be denied because it carries a Message even without a Lyrics. We can use tools such as music, sports and performing arts to connect with people of all ages and develop friendships which can lead to conversations of eternal value.

Music Discipleship Training School (DTS) is designed to help you understand God more deeply, live more like Jesus and identify your unique gifts and purpose to use in Missions. God's gift to you is your potential. Your gift back to Him is what you do with it).

The Medical Boomerang team went to Asia in 2007. While they were there they worked in an orphanage and they met "baby Moses".
He had been abandoned and a person found him and brought him to the orphanage that the Medboom team went to. He was severely malnourished and dehydrated to the point of death, he had a cleft palate and hair-lip. The staff of the orphanage didn't have the extra staff or time that it would take to feed him, basically he was left to die. Our Medboom team started to feed him starting with Oral Rehydration Solution, the next day they were able to get some formula and started feeding him that. They were able to take him with them to where they were staying and continued to feed him every 2 hours. It was obvious that he had been in hospital & had been put on a drip by the mark on his head, but for some reason (probably finances) the treatment was unable to be continued, this was probably why he was abandoned. When our team left, they left him with a local lady who took him home and continued to care for him. He then was fostered by a Korean family who looked after him for about 4 years. Now he has been adopted to people outside of Asia, the report is that now he is a very strong, tall and very smart little boy.

Kevin Norris will be joining us in week 3 to teach on the Biblical and Historical Basis of Worship. Orginially from New Zealand, Kevin has been working in Kona, Hawaii for many years with the School of Worship. He is one of the true fathers of the school having helped direct the school for many years.

In week 12 we'll be welcoming Paul Hawkins teaching on Worship & Intercession. Paul has been in YWAM for decades and pioneered the College of Education in the University of the Nations. He also pioneered the School of Intercessory Prayer. His long experience in many nations gives him a unique authority to teach on this key subject of the SOW.

His gentle spirit and keen ear for God's voice have allowed him to be an instrument of much healing in many lives. He has also imparted that understanding to many through the Plumbline counselling model which he formulated under God's guidance. Through Plumbline Plus in the MMBC, Bruce will pass on the lessons he has learned in his years of ministry through this model.

We've looked at God's heart to restore relationship with all people and all nations to himself, and we've thought through the Great Commission from a communication perspective. We've explored strategic thinking, and the importance of setting the right goals. And we've talked about a godly creative process, including the central role of listening to God, working hard, and being in unity.

Lately, we've spent a few days having a lot of fun developing skills in video production and studying various techniques and how they influence the story we are telling. Creativity has been abounding in our classroom!

And we've looked at the nature and character of God, where we caught a glimpse of the one who has put this school together. We saw that in all that God does, though he operates in tremendous strength and power, he is based in love. And that includes the way that he communicates.

All in all, there's been a lot of variety, but it's all for the common purpose of discovering how God wants to lead us in serving him in the nations with media. We're excited to follow him through the rest of our lecture phase and into an outreach to the unreached!

For two weeks now Megacities teams have been in London, kicking off one full year of Megacities teams working in partnership with the local body of Christ. Most teams have begun by reading the bible out loud in public place and walking the streets in prayer. God has drawn people to them in need for ministry. One team reported that while reading the bible in a park, a Pakistani man asked if he could join them as he was bored and didn't have anything to do, having only recently arrived into London. When they agreed, he even began reading the bible with them, asking questions about Christianity with a sincere openness to know God. Taken a New Testament home that night, he's agreed to continue to meet with the team, to learn more about this man who is God, Jesus.

"One gentleman actually stopped us as we were walking past him and recognized us as 'the girls reading the bible all day" and we were able to use that as a platform to share the entire gospel with him." Teams, like this one, are finding that God brings opportunities to share the gospel with people.

And when he brings the opportunity, teams are going for it! While waiting on the roadside, two team members working in Hillingdon, London, noticed a man on crutches, and with the prompting of the spirit they asked if they could pray for healing for his knee. The team told us, "After we were done praying, we asked him how he felt and with a big smile he said that the pain was gone!" He was able to walk, crouch and move around freely. This man turned out to be a Christian and was so moved by the experienced, he has decided to regularly join the team for ministry.

These stories are only the beginning of many more to come throughout the rest of the year, as God is using our Teams, Individuals and the Body of Christ to make him known in the different boroughs of London. The city is ready and open for the Kingdom of God to come!

This School has been insane! It's challenging, eye-opening, and incredible. he wants to build me up in him. His hands are extended to me; everything that I'm looking for is in reach and found in him.

He has spoken a lot through psalm 15, about how he wants me to be immovable and strong. He wants me to know him for who he really is. Ministry has been amazing, but my personal times with god have been so crucial to everything. Praise god! (Maddie, Music DTS'11)

And now with the advancement of the technology throughout the world it will make it more accessible for the people who never heard the Gospel. This coming Surf and Skate DTS is building radical faith in my heart for what God has in store for us. 2012 means a lot of things for a lot of different people. In many cases fear of the unknown is sweeping the globe. I believe that in the midst of all that is going on around us that God is going to do something even bigger and capture the hearts of his people once again. This year gives me hope to know that with God, truly all things are possible and there is no fear, doubt or confusion, but love, life, freedom and possibilities. I'm trusting to experience this on this coming Surf and Skate DTS beginning April 1st.

Over the past five months we have seen God move in amazing ways on our behalf. We have had many things from screws to flooring to machines donated. We have seen our staff sacrificially lay down their evenings and weekends to help the work go forward. Many people have learned new skills or honed old ones.

That said, all the Glory to God because He has made a way for us and He has filled this building with His presence and made it possible for us to build a place where students will be trained and He will be glorified.

We extremely thankful to God for what He has done for us. Extremely grateful for all the Mission Builders who have sacrificed time, skills, resources and abilities to come and build this building. Thank you to all who have helped to build this building! 12 Gladstone is complete!

The January quarter students will begin arriving soon and we are delighted to welcome them into our new building and to share the stories of what God has done to make it possible!

We're trusting God for the completion of our other two buildings and the ability to fully move into what He has provided for us!
