CHENANIAH MAGELE

Chenaniah is the leader of the Music DTS in July 2012!
Chenaniah has been on staff here since June 2008 and has been busy full time with the performing arts team ISLAND BREEZE which focuses on cultural redemption through worship, music and dance. This ministry has worked a lot with Impact World Tour doing campaign style ministry all through the world.He also staffed the YP back in 09, leading a team to Cambodia and the Philippines for 3 months.
Chenaniah is a highly committed, loyal, supportive guy who you will love to spend time with. He is one of our worship leaders on base so get ready to experience God in our school worship sets. Chenaniah is integrous, lives out humility, always ready to learn and be involved. One of the most noticeable things is how so many people want to be around him because of the friendships he develops and invests into.
His heart is to use the influential medium of music to not only reach out to people but raise up other Godly musicians aswell!!!!

JOHN LEWIS
FROM: Cardiff, Wales
Johnny Lewis hails from the land of green hills and wild sheep, also known as Cardiff, Wales - some say it is the promised land. He’s a tremendous guy who knows good coffee [more recently churning out the goods from cafe nine at base - it's quality stuff] and loves life wherever he goes. Whether it’s going on creative adventures, surfing, or serving in the nations, he really brings people together by his outgoing personality and great British humour.
John is passionate about the living God, communicating the gospel to those who have never heard and seeing cities reached for Jesus. He was given that opportunity while on his DTS in October ’08 which took him to Sri Lanka, J-City and then after DTS, back in his home city, Cardiff, for over a year.
He was on staff for the Music DTS 2011, had an epic time, saw lives changed by Jesus, and then co-led an outreach to North Australia and Mozambique for 3 months. He plays the guitar lots [more recently in the base stairwell!],is into songwriting and he has a passion for leading worship and knows some good bands [So if you want to know any - he’s your guy!] John will be an incredible part of the Music DTS 2012 I'm sure you will learn tons from him!

ARIELLE JACOBSON
FROM: Moose jaw, Canada
Yep, you read that right. Arielle comes from the epically-named city of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. And yes, she’s just as fun and quirky as her hometown name suggests!
Arielle finds the good in everyone she meets and the humour in every situation. She embraces life to the fullest, bringing joy and laughter with her wherever she goes. She has a passion for singing and music. And who knows… you may even catch her bursting into song spontaneously here and there!
A true woman after God’s heart, Arielle faithfully incorporates the Lord into every aspect of her life. She is continually seeking to grow in the knowledge of God and His ways and loves sharing the journey with those around her.
Arielle competed her DTS in 2009 and returned to YWAM Perth as staff in September 2010, where she began serving faithfully in the Registrar’s Office. She’s staffed the July DTS 2011 and Music DTS 2012, taking teams to London, Cambodia, South Africa and Lesotho. She’s looking forward to where God will take her this year as she staffs the Music DTS 2013.

HEASEUNG JEONG
FROM: Seoul/South Korea
HeaSeung hails from South Korea and is not only a joy to be around but an incredibly gifted pianist. We first met HeaSeung last year when she did the Music DTS 2012, which took her to the rainy streets of London, England and the villages of Cambodia. Before responding to God's call to join YWAM Perth, HeaSeung taught music at a high school in Beijing, China, for four years and absolutely loved it. HeaSeung is a very passionate and yet humble person who loves to play music. Although she would not tell you, she has a Masters Degree in Music. She loves any and all Korean food and, if you’re lucky, maybe she will make you some. Her areas of passion are music and working with young people, so fitting for a life as a Music DTS staff. We are stoked to have HeaSeung with us this year!

DAVID BAKER
FROM: Kansas City, U.S.A
Hailing from Kansas City MO Dave is a guy that everybody wants to be around. A man of many talents from baseball and Wrestling to Guitar, Piano and singing he is someone that is always down for a Jam around the fire or throwing a ball in the park. Dave has been on staff for years and is currently working with the Youth Ministry Nexwave that reaches out to youth in high schools and gives young people the opportunity to know God.
