COUNSELLING IN ACTION

Affecting the city of Perth.

The last seven weeks we have been on outreach within the city of Perth. We've been serving with several different ministries, working with families in crisis, helping young women struggling with unexpected pregnancies, and serving at feeding programs for the homeless or those struggling financially.

It;s been exciting to see how God uses us, our giftings, and the skills we've learnt about counselling.

Several times during the week, we join a ministry within the city who helps counsel women of all ages struggling with pregnancies. A lot of the time these women come in looking for information on abortions and other ways of getting rid of the baby. But over the last seven weeks, we have been able to use our counselling skills and help women come to a good, fruitful decision. We have been able to help at least two women decide to keep their babies, and help mentor and disciple them in their future choices.

It's exciting! We are helping women in the city of Perth be able to make good decisions, be equipped to keep their babies, saving them from future grief, and saving the life of a child. It's a privilege to be used by God in others lives.
