METHODS AND MODELS IN BIBLICAL COUNSELLING SCHOOL UPDATE
By Vanessa Brown
Developing the community.
It is week five already, and we can't believe how much God's taught us and empowered us, ready for the future.
We have four students from four different nations. We began the school with the topics; How We [People] Grow, Living Out Gods Design, Ministering the Fathers Heart, Challenging and Confronting Community Issues, and this week, Child Development and Adult Issues.
It's just so fascinating to see how unique Gods created each of us, and how He desires to see the world renewed. It's also exciting to see how He redeems where it hasn't gone right in the world, and each of us are a representation of the potential of God's healing and redemption.
On the week of Challenging and Confronting Community Issues, each of us came up with a project to impact the city of Perth. It was exciting to see how God uses our passions, creativity, and ideas. We're hoping to imply some of these idea for community reform during our outreach in Perth. So, be sure to check for later updates to see how they play out!
The biggest revelation of our students so far has been: "God can change the world using only one person." Now, imagine if there were a movement of Christians, bringing God's compassion, justice, mercy and love into the world — what would that look like?
