YOUNG FAMILY IN NEED FINDS NEW HOPE

Testimony from Kensington and Chelsea in London
"A young couple, Rob and Louise*, found themselves jobless and foodless as they waited for weeks to receive financial aide from the government. Louise was also 8 months pregnant so as the couples situation became more and more hopeless they began calling churches looking for help. The pastor of our church passed on their number and we quickly made a phone call to follow it up.
We were able to take Rob and Louise grocery shopping three times during the next six weeks. On one of the outings I asked if they would be willing to meet for a coffee some afternoon. They agreed and three days later we met at a local shop. I asked them about what experiences they had with grace and forgiveness and listened as they recounted horror stories of childhood abuse and injustice. Twenty years later, neither of them had any relationship or support from family. Then it was my turn to share. “Let me tell you about grace, forgiveness, and truth...” The Holy Spirit was there, leading them each to the feet of Jesus.
Rob admitted that God had been after them for a long time and together they agreed they needed to follow Him. Then and there Rob and Louise prayed recognizing Jesus as the Lord and Savior of all."
