a nursing home, reconciliation and youth

We went to a nursing home to pray for the elderly. One lady that I prayed for shared how she has a bone disease and her legs are always in pain. I prayed for her and as I prayed I really felt God’s presence. Once I had finished, she said she was ok and there was no pain any more! She said the disease is gone! God healed her on that day. – Discipleship Training School team leader



On Sunday I prayed for a woman who said she was sick and that her children hated her. I prayed for healing and restoration to be brought to her family. She started crying and I felt to remind her how much God loves her and He will never hate her. Evening came and we got a call that this woman had been healed and there was peace within her family now! I expected God to work, but to have it happen that same day was so exciting. God has so much more He wants to use us for and I realize that I can make a difference in this GIANT city by prayer and letting God use and direct me. – Kayla, Discipleship Training School team member



We have been regularly visiting a woman in one of the slums we have been working in. We have spent much time at her home sitting on the floor sharing with her and her sharing Indonesian food with us. One day when we brought Indonesian youth along with us, as they shared she decided to give her life to the Lord!!! Since that day we make sure to go and share with her, encourage her how to pray and to keep praying! We asked her if she would like a bible and she said she didn’t know how to read but she would still like one. On our last visit of seeing her we went and met her and her husband at her work (cleaning streets) and we gave the bible to her. Her husband (who is not a Christian) took the bible and his face lit up and he immediately started reading it!!! He then agreed that he would read the bible to his wife and they could pray together. God is going to do amazing things in this family!!! - Jayme, Discipleship Training School team member
