TRANSFERABLE TRANSFORMATION

The story of a spreading faith.

Recently, in the London borough of Bromley seven young people accepted Jesus after they witnessed God’s healing power. A Megacities team was at a skate park when they prayed for a skater who was having problems with his back and he was instantly healed. The skater told his friends what had happened and the group was eager to hear and know more about God, and several more were healed.

Transformation is about being transferable; God wants events like this to ripple through the one’s who witness them and into the lives of people who know them. That awesome day of ministry, a boy from a local youth group accompanied the team and observed the skate park miracle that saw seven kids saved and touched the lives of everyone who witnessed it.

The boy from the youth group soon came back to the team some days later with a testimony of his own: At the boys school one day his friend fell in the playground. His friend was hurt and without any prompting from a supportive team, he made the decision to pray for healing for his friend. The boy naturally applied what had been modelled by the team days before. He prayed and his friend was instantly healed!

With around 50 teams so far this year working through Megacities in London, how many ways has God multiplied ministry like what happened in the skate park in Bromley? As the people of God, both local and international, step out in boldness on the streets of London, faith is beginning to build again. All over the city teams are working to be a catalyst for that change, but it is local Christians seeing, experiencing and doing that will bring about transformation. For Megacities, our joy is igniting the faith and boldness of people like that boy and so many others all over London, England!
