ELLI KIM

After her Young People’s DTS in 2003, Elli went home to get further training in media and communications. As a part of that, she came back to YWAM Perth to do a 6-month internship with Create International in 2006. During that time, God spoke clearly to go into missions long-term, so she joined staff in February 2008.

Elli’s heart is to see nations descipled and transformed. At the same time, she is passionate about good quality design and its potential to speak about God's truth and character. She loves to see people step into their full potential and follow God radically wherever he leads.

Elli staffed the MediaReach DTS in 2008 and 2009 and is leading the Media Boomerang short-term outreaches.

In March 2011, Elli got married to Acksios!!

MENNO VAN ROOKHUIJZEN

SARAH SEYKORA

FROM: Wisconsin, USA

Sarah has a Bachlor Degree in Graphic Design from the USA and worked in the feild of design for three years before joining YWAM.

Sarah and her husband, Joshua, did their DTS at YWAM Perth in April 2006. They then continued on to do the Bible School For the Nations (BSN) in October 2006. She joined staff with Joshua in 2007, staffing the BSN and the Biblical Education and Leadership Training ministry here on Base. After having their first son, she decided to join staff with the Media Department.

Not only does Sarah love dark chocolate and coffee, but she has a heart to really see people know what they believe and why they believe it - and to align themselves with Truth. She loves all forms of media and believes they should be used to their fullest potential to see God's Kingdom established here on earth.

BETH REID

FROM: Sydney, Australia

A city gal, Beth did the MediaReach DTS in April 2009 and got her first experience of the ministry during her afternoon work duties in the video department.

She has a passion for truth and for reality game shows.

JESS ERIKSEN

FROM: FROM: United States via the Netherlands

A bit of a nomad, Jess was born in the Netherlands to American parents, was raised in Hawaii, went to uni in Minnesota, moved to Australia and married a Dane in 2007.

After finishing a degree in Media Studies, Jess did her DTS here in Perth in 2002 and joined staff in 2003. She's been a part of staffing DTSes and pioneering our youth cafe, Kaio. She currently helps to lead our media ministry and the MediaReach DTS. Jess and her husband are the proud parents of a rambunctious toddler.

She is passionate about missions, discipleship, reaching people in creative ways and seeing people know who they are in God. Jess loves all kinds of creativity, from photography to film to sewing. She has a weakness for Scandinavian design, "vocab words" and cafes with character. She loves the challenge of starting something new cause it's a reminder of the need for radical obedience to God rather than self-sufficiency.

STEPH BELL

FROM: Franklin, Pennsylvania

Steph Jean Bell hails from the northern US state of Pennsylvania, home of the Pittsburg Penguins and giant birds of prey. An art teacher by trade, a nurturing maternal type by nature and a woman after God's own heart, Steph is big on hugs and quality coffee.

Steph did her first DTS in October 2003, following it up with an AES a year later. After a stint back in the States she returned home to Perth in 2009 with her husband Matt to do the MediaReach DTS.

ACKSIOS KIM

FROM: South Korea

Acksios Kim - the man, the legend.

Fresh from South Korea, Acksios did English For Missions (EFM) in 2009 and quickly learning the ropes, jumped into the School of Frontier Media (SFM) in January 2010.

Back from an amazing filming outreach in India, Acksios' awesomeness has touched down in Media to stir the pot and infuse some much needed Tectonic dance-skills into the office.

MARK SPENCE

FROM: New Zealand

Mark's a swell guy who's kind heart and warm smile makes his wonderfully complex and revolutionary ideas easier to digest.

He's a jack of all trades and blesses us particularly in the field of print and IT.

Making the pony tail rad, Mark is a much loved part of media and on base.

LUKE BARRETT

FROM: Halifax, England

Luke's a guy with a plan. The plan usually involves being given cookies and coffee and somehow he always succeeds.

Our little Luke is a fresh recruit from the 2010 MediaReach DTS who brings priceless experience and wisdom to the video ministry. He splits his time between media and NexWave (YWAM Perth's youth ministry), creating and producing graphics, promos and pretty much anything else that's thrown his way.

A lovely guy with a lovely accent - media welcomes Luke with big sweaty arms.

ARIEN VS

FROM: Adelaide, Australia

Arien is a youtube celebrity with a strange fascination with spiderman merchandise.

Our master artist, comic creator, video producer and general whizz kid, Arien is a huge asset to the ministry.

The 9 foot tall guy with a kind laugh, Arien's the man.

EMMY WANG

FROM: China (via India)

Emmy is our news production, website, and YouTube extraordinaire. She's also a true child of the world, living in more nations than you can count on one hand. She graduated from Curtin University in 2011 with her degree in Mass Communications. She did her DTS here in Perth in July 2011, and joined staff in January 2012.

You can often find her graciously making coffee for the Media team and watching playlist after playlist of YouTube videos.
