It's hard to say goodbye when you've made such good relationships.
It's the last week of outreach. 24 weeks flew by. At the beginning of DTS, it seems like 24 weeks is FOREVER...but then the weeks go by and it goes faster and faster and before you know it, you are on your last week of outreach not really wanting to leave yet. The teams in Mexico City are starting to have their parties and say goodbye. That's the hard part. Here is a little bit from one team in Mexico City.
Last week the government program is back at our church which is a huge blessing. We did many open airs and went out front and it was our best week of ministry yet. Yesterday in the line they just preached the gospel all the way down the line and saw 67 people come to Christ in the morning. They also prayed for 25 people....good stuff like that on a regular basis. Good conversations, truth being declared. Mexico City is AMAZING.
Sad to leave Mexico City, I love having conversation with people because just as God said to me before, the people are HUNGRY for truth. I can't think of a time when I had a conversation with someone that wasn't good....it blesses me so much that. Last night some of the skater friends we've made showed up at our church to throw us a surprise party with pinatas full of either mexican candy (so chili candy) or fruit (LOTS of sugar cane). IT WAS SUCH A BLESSING because they told us how much they learned from us and valued our friendships. At times it didn't seem like they were going anywhere as far as their relationship with God but they told us that they saw through our lives that there are more important things besides skating and parties.....and that is DIOS! SO cool:)
