WHO WANTS ADVENTURE?!?!`
By Trisha Hooper
You're an athlete right? Don't you love a hands on approach to things?
Adventure. That’s what I would say my life has been these last 6 years. I’ve had the most amazing adventure. I have done things people only dream about or watch on t.v. I have learned more than any text book could tell me. I can talk about cultures and nations from first had experience. Moreso, I can talk about a faithful Creator from true knowledge of Him. The English language uses the same word for “know” for both knowing of someone and personally knowing someone. This knowledge is the personal encounter type of knowledge.
How did this adventure start? DTS. 6 months completely changed my life. You want an adventure too, don’t you?!?!?! You’re an athlete. You like challenges. You like hands on type things. You like adventure. Competition. You’ve got a skill, a passion that God wants to use. You’ve got something that no one else on earth has. Why don’t you come and discover what that is!
Old people often regret things later in life. But usually the regret is not from what they have done, but what they have not done.
Fullness of life truly happens when you encounter the living God and serve Him. Now is the time to encounter, to engage.
Our next Sports DTS starts 5 July 2008. info@ywamperth.org.au
The “power of prayer” never meant much to me before our outreach. God revealed to me just how powerful this gift really is. God brought us visas, got us through a war stricken country, helped teammates escape prosecution from Cameroon military authorities, performed healings, and started to open the hearts of Muslims in J-city all through the power of persistent and trust-filled prayer. God not only made a huge impact in the lives of our team, but He continued to show His faithfulness by answering our prayers and cries for the nations.
