ALOHA IS THE WORD

Island Breeze Outreach: August-November 2009

After hitting up Africa and Europe for the last three months, we arrived back in Perth. Each person has come back from this outreach experiencing the effects of God's hand moving in amazing ways. All of us can say that it's been a privilege to go to each of these nations where we were shown His favour, generosity and beauty.

We were given some amazing opportunites in each country. We got to do various types of ministy which included performing and being in involved at Schools, Nursing Homes, mercy ministry, one on one evangelism, open airs, Red Light District ministry, University/College ministry, partnering with local Churches and other YWAM workers.
God's hand was over us for the whole trip and saw such favour and generosity poured forth from places we didn't expect. Both of us can say that we experienced His blessings. For sure.

-SOUTH AFRICA-
We started our trip in an area called Elsie's River in the city of Cape Town. We worked with an amazing local AOG Church there for three weeks where we had amazing times of ministry with the Church. We then headed to Worcester, a town two and a half hours drive from Cape Town, where we attended the University of the Nations' Workshop before doing Church-based outreaches in preparation for Impact World Tour to come in 2010.

-GERMANY-
Our first two weeks were spent working with the Friede Gemeinde Church in the suburb Neugraben in southern Hamburg. Our contact with this church was Gaby Wetland who her and her family served in Full time missions in Nigeria for 30 years. It was a great opportunity for us to partner with the church and be involved in the ministries that are reaching out to the surrounding areas from feeding the homeless to running kids programs in the govenment Housing areas. We then moved to the suburb of Nordestet where we stayed with YWAM Hamburg and were involved in the base outreach ministries of Evangilism in the Red light District and working with the Christian College ministries in Hamburg.

-THE NETHERLANDS-
We were able to visit The Netherlands by the invitation of Marieke's(one of the ministry members) home Church in the town of Almelo. Because of their support, we wanted to be a blessing by ministering to the Youth over two nights and also at the Sunday service. And of course, meeting Marieke's awesome family-immediate and extended.

-SPAIN-
Our team met up with the Island Breeze Hawaii team with the Impact World Tour. For the next three weeks that followed we went to three different towns: Motril, Ceuta and the British territory of Gibraltar. It was cool to see that we as Island Breeze Perth were able to flow so well with the Island Breeze IWT team. As well as the two other performing teams involved:Team Xtreme and GX International.

Overall it was amazing outreach where we as a team were able to experience God's grace and blessing in abundance in the times when we needed it and we didn't expect it. God has been faithful to be able to use Island Breeze in the Nations. We were blessed to see fruit in each country God sent us to. It was only because of His anointing that we were able to see and do what we did over these three month outreach.
