During my DTS I sensed that my time in YWAM wouldn’t end after those 5 months; God was calling me into more training, into a time of getting equipped for his specific calling upon my life. My dream has always been to become a teacher and to work with children. When I found out about the University of the Nations and about the college of education it really fascinated me. Could there be anything better, than studying with a Christian organisation that focuses on godly standards? And aren’t godly teachers exactly what our world and education system needs so badly today?
FIE is an amazing school that focuses on exactly this aspect: how to train godly teachers by using the bible as our foundation. I was amazed to see how much God actually has to say about education in his word.

If you have children’s ministry on your heart (whether teaching in specific or not) and want to learn how to see a child with God’s eyes and love and educate it from God’s perspective and standard, you shouldn’t miss out on this school.

The beautiful thing about doing the FIE at the Perth base is that they have many children and even a preschool at the base, so there are plenty of opportunities to put into practise what you’ve learned.
