The CCS 2006 is finished but the outreach has just begun... that is the life outreach that follows the school! But we the CCS had incredible adventures with God as we traveled through the nations of India and Thailand. God spoke that he wanted to take us to areas of great need and to use us to see those people set free. Through coming alongside different YWAM and church ministries we were able to be part of the lives of many of those people –HIV/AIDS victims, street children, those who are destitute and dying, drug addicts, orphans, and the poor.
Wherever we traveled, from India to Thai, God gave us opportunities to build relationships and help people in meaningful ways. “To bind up the broken hearted and proclaim freedom for the captives!”
In the historical and infamous city of Calcutta we hooked up with a ministry started by our new hero: Mother Teresa. Her homes for the destitute and dying continue to serve as an example of the amazingly practical love of Jesus. At times the need of the city seemed overwhelming, but then we were reminded of the amazing faithfulness of our God, and that he is the one who does the work.
