ABOUT

Foundations for Counselling Ministry (FCM) is a six month school which begins to equip you to see transformation in the lives of individuals and in communities. It’s more than just counselling skills, it's getting biblical insight into issues, and seeking God’s heart for the lost.

The FCM here in Perth carries a community focus. This means we look at issues not just affecting the individual but also the community in which they live. We aspire to see neighbourhoods, families, cities and nations transformed through the restoration of one individual at a time!

Weekly topics are covered by international and local speakers who have had experience working in their specific area of expertise. Workshops take place each week to equip you with basic counselling skills and models as well as give opportunity to put them into practice.

Outreach is a key part of the FCM, as the emphasis is on taking what we've learnt and applying it in a cross-cultural situation. It is a time to practice our counselling skills and to minister to real-life people in their real situations.
