NUMBERS DON'T TELL THE STORY

Birth Attendant School touching lives in East Africa
The Birth Attendant School 2010 is in East Africa. I am in Perth. As staff not on outreach/field assignment we (there are 5 of us here) pray for the staff and students, we prepare for next year's school, we compile the stats and testimonies sent from the team, we make new contacts, we work on details for outreach/field assignment that are hard to work on from a developing nation, we pray for the team on outreach/field assignment, we pray for the team on outreach/field assignment, we pray for the team on outreach/field assignment, and we pray for the team on outreach/field assignment.
Did I say that four times? Yep.
Today I was compiling the testimonies and statistics sent from the staff and students in East Africa. The numbers themselves are large 770 people have heard the gospel, 478 have received health care in some form, 2 have received the LORD, 596 have received life-changing health care teaching, and 13 babies have been welcomed into the world. The stats I have are a few weeks old and I'm excited to hear what God has been up to the past few weeks - but what really struck me was that although the numbers are big. They don't tell the story - all 770 people who have heard the gospel are individuals that God loves. All 478 who have received health care were shown care and value - if even for a moment. We know the response to some of our actions but I know the impact they are having is much larger than the numbers - because I know the God that motivates the love that is being shown by our staff and students. Ultimately it all comes down to God changing people's lives - He's using the birth attendant school in east africa and hopefully as you read this you'll decide He can use you too. If the birth attendant school is for you - then please get in touch - we'd love to have you. But if the birth attendant school isn't for you then ask God how he wants to use you today. Who can you show love to? Who can you take a moment to show value you to? How can you be God's hands and feet today? Stop. Ask. Listen - and DO what He tells you...because ultimately following God - that's what all of this is about.
