TREASURES FROM DARKNESS

Bringing God's love to women in need
Once a week, Art Refuge goes to a refuge for women who are victims of domestic violence, drug abuse, alcoholism, etc. They come to get a fresh start and often bring their children.
We use art to bring out the treasure that God has put inside them, and to speak to them of God's amazing love and healing power for them and their children.
"This is my favourite day of the week because of the art time" is what we are often told by both the staff and residents, as we arrive to work on a new project - whether it be about what a family should really be, who God made us, the things that we grow in through the hard times, or just to sit and be creative in the midst of their trying times.
It is a blessing to bring God's love and healing to these dear ladies, and to be able to pray for them each week in what they are walking through.
We love all that God is allowing us to be a part of through Art Refuge.
