Another Art Reach Story
Part of the vision for Art Reach is to see local Christian Artists empowered to use their art for God in their local city.
After spending time in a home for abandonded children, we went for lunch in the home of two of the local church people who had come with us.
Over lunch we learned that the husband, Victor, was an artist - and he brought out of hiding, paintings that would have made the old masters proud. He said when he had time he wanted to do more, and had a heart to get Christian Artists together to do art for God.
Then we also learned that his wife, Ana, was also an artist, but had not done art since a traumatic event in her life.
What could we do, but sit them down and pray for them - for the freedom to create with God and be all that they could be in Him. We prayed for an annointing and freedom for their art and a newness.
Imagine our delight as we walked into their home a week later to see Victor's art on the walls, and be shown a painting that Ana was working on! And before we left we were shown another painting that Victor had done, and were delighted to see both Victor and Ana among the 70 artists, who stood to dedicate their art for God to use to win the lost, at a seminar on Art and Missions.
Please pray for Ana and Victor as they walk with God as His artists. Since returning home to Perth, we have had an email to say that both Victor and Ana, along with others of their church, are doing prophetic art during the worship times! Praise God!!
