ART REACH - BEAR ONE ANOTHER'S BURDENS

By Narelle

Story number 1 from Art Reach

On my way to Mexico City for Art Reach, my friend and I missed our connecting flight and had to stay a night at the Hilton, LA. Nice - but God had a plan, for us and someone in need of encouragement.
When we had checked in to our flight the next day, my eyes followed a lady at the news stand who eventually sat beside me. I felt to talk to her, and she shared how her family had come to America when she was young, to escape persecution because they were Christians. She said she was married with children, and attended a local church, but her family no longer attended. So I asked if I could pray for her family.
As I finished praying, tears were running down her cheeks, and she shared that all was not well; she shared her problems, and that she was ready to turn her back on God, before I spoke and prayed for her. She now knew that God had not left her... but there's more
She was on our flight to Mexico City, and God prompted me to give her a picture I had done and a verse. As we landed she sought us to tell us that she was glad God had sat her alone, because through the picture He had broken something inside her, and she had cried all the flight down - but she was so grateful to God for what He was doing.
... but there's more!
As we checked in to our flight back at the end of Art Reach (three weeks later) we looked over and there was our new friend also checking into the SAME flight.
As we shared a cuppa before the flight, she shared that there were already answers to some of our prayers. And, because God had blessed her in LA with His encouragement, she was able to pray for two people who shared their problems with her in Mexico City, during her stay there!
A missed flight - but not a missed opportunity. We thought God had touched one life, but He had used it to touch two more - and even more as the prayers are answered.
GOD IS AMAZING - I love the way that He weaves lives together in so many incredible ways.
