ABOUT

ARMS works amongst the poor and needy in Australia and overseas.
In Australia we provide home help to families in crisis and train others to do the same, and overseas we work mainly with health care, mother and child care and delivery.

The two local ministries we run in Perth are the "Community Development Programme" CDP and the "NeighbourCare" NC.

Community Development Programme
With the CDP we offer practical in home help such as cleaning, gardening, childminding, cooking, shopping, laundry, etc to families in crisis. This allows the family to function during a time of crisis, that could be related to illness, emotional and relationship struggles, etc. We aim to strengthen the family unit and thereby help to prevent family breakdown. It is also a time where we as Christians can demonstrate and communicate the love of God to these families.
We have been getting many families referred to us in need of assistance. The need is greater than what we can meet.

NeighbourCare
NC is an extension of the Community Development Programme.
We want to create opportunity for the local church to reach out to their local community. Helping and caring for the poor and needy in a practical way - Gods love experienced in the community.
The vision is to have a participating church in every suburb of Perth, so that the city will be caring for their poor and needy. People from the church helping them and through that building support networks, lasting friendships and a pathway into the local church.
