VISION

This is our response to God’s heart for the overwhelming needs of mothers and children in the Indian Ocean Gateway. We offer primary health care and birth attendant training and have now seen the vision expand to include the establishment of 100 mother and child care clinics. Come with us to pioneer and train local health care workers for these clinics.

A lack of health care skills and knowledge causes more than 11 million unnecessary deaths per year. says UNICEF

Through health education, statistics like these can change, and lives can be transformed.

The 100 clinic vision was birthed out many years working with poor communities. The vision: "To know health and make health known"

It is a simple two or three week training seminar made available to communities and people who are committed to see death and illness decrease over 24 months

How does it work?

1. YWAM Perth links in with a local health care workers or community leader.

2. A seminar is planned with the understanding that there will be a person from the seminar who will be committed to continue training others.

3. Posters and booklets are made and translated in the language of the people

VISION STATEMENT:
Promoting basic health education using simple health messges. Working with local health care workers, governments and community members to attain a measurable decrease in illness and death over a 24 month period

YWAM Perth will do this through an initial seminar. Following the completion of the seminar, there will be twice a week visits by local health trainees into the community.

Partnership is the key in seeing death and disease eradicated and a belief that God had practical answers to see people healed- He was concerned about their health!!

He said: bury your excrement, dig a hole, dont touch anything unclean, stay away from the camp, clean your body. These suggestions are about community health development

Simple Seminar include topics for:
1. Women's Group
2. Men's Group
3. Pregnancy Group

Major health problems such as
Malaria - HIV/AIDS, Respiratory illness are also taught

These seminars are an outcome of the 100clinic vision which is a vision to see people training others with health care, passing on simple messages that can save lives!!

This vison is not a building, or a long line of people waiting to be seen by a health care worker, but simply, someone who has taken responsibility over the health needs of their community!

We want to see NOT JUST 100 clinics established but hundreds of clinics established.
